Major Repairs to the Parking Levels of a 4 200,000 sq.ft. Building
The Parkade building at 2021 Union was built in 1976 on a full square block and integrates upper floors of office space with a multi-level above ground interior parking garage. Since 2012 SBSA have been the structural engineers responsible for the major undertaking of evaluating and repairing the existing reinforced concrete slabs and beams that form the structure of the parking levels. The damage and repairs varied in severity ranging from minor surface repairs to complete local replacement of some sections of slab.
