Long Span Construction – Inovative Connection Design

Part of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, this large 293,707 square foot hangar was built to accommodate aircraft of various sizes.

The structural connections were made to withstand the forces of high winds, earthquake and gravity loading from the extremely large spans.
