Residential project currently under design comprises the conversion of two existing office buildings of eleven-storeys and five-storeys to condominiums plus the construction of a new eight-storey condo tower all linked via new ground level terraces and new common underground parking.
Main project features:
- New eight-storey reinforced concrete tower with flat plate floor slabs and fully-ductile lateral force resisting system.
- Renovations to the existing buildings include new elevator and stair shafts, plus the addition of exterior terraces and fire exits at the upper levels of the 1950 Sherbrooke W. Building.
- Four new balcony towers designed as independent rigid steel frames so as not to impose additional lateral loads on the existing buildings are also being added.
- Reinforced concrete construction is used for the ground floor terraces, underground parking structure and main entrance atrium.
