Six-storey “floating” office block with integrated commercial/retail center.

Project highlights:

  • Six-storey steel structure with large (W40) cantilevered transfer beams at the 3rdfloor that support four-levels above.
  • Ductile steel lateral force resisting system comprised of “X” and chevron-type concentric braced frames.
  • Concrete flat-slab construction at ground floor above 1-level of underground parking.
  • Innovative “Tibetral” bearing wall system was used for economy and speed of construction.
